Teacher Arrested

Here's a place to put jokes, anecdotes & anything else that tickles your funny bone that you also want to share with others. Now I know there are a gazillion great jokes out there, so let's try to keep a couple of guidelines in mind: First, please avoid off-color jokes, meaning everything should be G-Rated and not ethnically offensive. Second, please keep within the tridd forums interest areas, meaning politics, GLBT humor, etc. I know this is a potentially dangerous experiment adding a "humor" forum, so please let's keep everything in good taste, so that we can keep this forum open!

Thanks - Troy

Teacher Arrested

NEW YORK -- A public school teacher was arrested today at John F. Kennedy International Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, a slide rule and a calculator.

At a morning press conference, the Attorney General said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement.

He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction. 'Al-gebra is a problem for us', the Attorney General said. 'They desire solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values.' They use secret code names like 'X' and 'Y' and refer to themselves as 'unknowns', but we have determined that they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country.

As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, 'There are 3 sides to every triangle'.

When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush said, 'If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, he would have given us more fingers and toes.'

White House aides told reporters they could not recall a more intelligent or profound statement by the President.

Haha!

I can understand why they did that. You know, Al-gebra movement is involved in activism proving that they are always right and there is only one way, and if you disagree, they'll oppress you by giving you an F. That, thanks to Al-gebra movement, will deny good people a human right to go to a good college.

Yeah - you're right. Beside, if too many people started thinking for themselves, they might actually start to realize what the Bush administration has done! :-)
