Hello Everyone,

My name is Scott and I am moving to the Tyler area at the end of the month from San Francisco. From Texas originally, so fully aware of some of the things I'm getting myself into...but there will be other things I need help with I'm sure;) I'm looking forward to the move, being out in the county and being close to my family and friends. I'm also looking forward to making new friends in my new new community here in East Texas.

I do see there are a few group activities that I am looking forward to joining in on, but not sure of any other outlets for the community in the area (i.e bars, sports clubs/leagues, group outings, etc.)

I was also hoping for any recommendations for a primary care physician, pharmacy, dentist, etc. that are gay friendly and familiar with HIV and issues relating to it.

Again, looking forward to the move, meeting many wonderful new people and enjoying a slower paced life. Feel free to email me to introduce yourself.

You will find good resources on tridd & good friends. Good PFLAG group. On the medical questions, I recommend you contact Troy (troy@tridd.com). He can direct you on the ins & outs.

My name is Gaylon. I just saw your introduction letter on Tridd. I wanted to say welcome to East Texas and most of the memebers on here can help you settle in and find all the referencs you need. I hope to meet you sometime and maybe ask you some questions about San Francisco. I will be going to the Up Your Alley St. Fair for the first time at the end of July. I just wanted to say thank you for your welcomes and advise. It sounds like this is the place to be when it comes to family activities and resources. Glad to know I'm in the right place and in good hands.
