GLBTQ Online High School Accepting Enrollment Now

Perhaps you’ve heard of the new GLBTQ Online High School (www.glbtqonlinehighschool.com). This school is the world’s first online school specifically for GLBTQ youth and opens in January 2010 to serve students nationwide. As a private, non-profit school, it can help students of all ages achieve a high school diploma completely online or through hybrid programs that provide face-to-face support for the online courses and teachers. Click the link below to view the attached documents bundle, which will provide additional detailed background information and enrollment information.

CenterLink is working with GLBTQ Online High School to explore ways that this highly flexible model can be made available to GLBTQ youth through its member Centers. The school is also starting to work directly with individual centers.

The student application is available now on the school’s website, and centers should feel free to refer students there if they wish to apply. If a student is unable to afford tuition, in some cases a local school district may be willing to contract for services from GLBTQ Online High School. The school also welcomes joint fundraising efforts to secure local scholarship funds.

For more information, you can contact Guido Sanchez (guido@Lgbtcenters.org) at CenterLink or Dave Glick (dave@glbtqonlinehighschool.com), Executive Director of GLBTQ Online High School.
