Biology of Belief

My name is Matt, known here as Enemy's Ox. In this section, I hope to exchange our personal insights into subjects such as nutrition, exercise, supplements, alternative medicines and therapies, motivational techniques and thoughts on general well-being. Primarily, I would like us to share with each other some of what has worked for us.

Biology of Belief

I've been reading this book called "the Biology of Belief: unleashing the power of consciousness, matter & miracles," by Bruce Lipton, Ph.D..

Dr. Lipton is actually a cellular biologist - a former medical school prof and research scientist - who was instrumental in starting the current revolution among medical academia regarding the way we look at DNA and cellular life.

He sees the human body, for example, not so much as a living organism, but as a "community" of individual and intelligent organisms that are also part of a larger organism, or ghia, that includes all living things.

Anyway, it's a fascinating read, and puts some science behind our old suspicion that "mind over matter" might really work. Once you start to realize that our future may not all be imprinted in our DNA... because maybe our consciousness is really in charge of the "cellular community" that makes up our bodies... well, then maybe just about anything is possible.

Anyway - it makes a lot of sense and I wanted to tell you about the book, which is published by "Mountain of Love / Elite Books," Santa Rosa, CA 95404 - www.BruceLipton.com.

I had learned about this a few years ago and am a full believer. I have definitely believed myself out of several life threatening encounters with my body. It is wild and wonderful...prayer and positive karmatic energy have worked for me, as well as exercise and meds and mind over matter.

Hey Guys,

I going to try that mind over matter thing the next time I have a hot flash. I'm thinking my little community of fire fighters are on strike..............lol.

I would love to read that book. My ex-deceased father-in-law was a firm believer in you making yourself sick.

Blessings,
Gerry
